The Law, Punishment and Penalties

The UAE Labour Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021) regulates employment in the private sector and ensures a fair balance between the rights of employers and employees. It defines rules for employment contracts, probation, working hours, leave, salaries, termination, and end-of-service benefits. Employees are protected from unfair dismissal, discrimination, and harassment, while employers retain the right to manage business operations and workforce performance within legal boundaries. Employers may set internal policies, assign duties, monitor performance, and take disciplinary action when necessary, provided actions follow UAE Labour Law and MOHRE guidelines. The law promotes professionalism, transparency, and compliance while safeguarding business interests such as confidentiality and productivity.
